General Information
The fleet’s comfortable motor coaches
provide weekday round trip bus service from Santa Maria and Lompoc to Santa Barbara
and Goleta . Each bus is
fully air conditioned and equipped with reading lights and
individual highback seats for your commuting comfort.
How To Use The Service
First, look at the
schedule and see if there is a stop near your workplace and drop
off and pick up times that fit your schedule. Then either
purchase a pass at the Santa Maria Area Transit Office, Albertson's supermarket in Lompoc, or the MTD Transit Center on Chapala St. in Santa Barbara.
You can also call 692-1902 to sign up for our invoicing service
for monthly passholders. Passes are also available through the mail using the
pass
purchase form.
All
Clean Air Express passes are valid on any Clean Air Express bus.
Fares
The cost to ride the Clean Air Express is
$140.00/calendar month for all routes. The Clean Air Express operates Monday through Friday,
250 days a year. Service is not provided on approximately 10
holidays/year. A book of ten tickets is available for $50.00,
and passengers can pay a cash fare of $7.00 when boarding the
bus.

Since Clean Air Express riders don’t have
to drive, they have time everyday to spend on other activities.

Rules of the Road

commuter by following the Clean Air Express Rules of the
Road:

All passengers must show their pass upon
boarding the bus

All belongings must be placed in the
overhead racks or under seats

Seats available on a first-come, first
served basis (no reserved seats)

Alcohol consumption is not allowed
onboard the bus

Please keep cell phone calls short and be
courteous to other passengers
